Almost 3

My little E will soon be 3!  I'm having a hard time with this, because I'm pretty sure he was just an eensy little baby a couple days ago....

In the meantime, however, he is growing and getting smarter by the minute.  Lets go through some E-speak:

"I don't member" - when asked a question
"Mom, you cute."
"In the garjub?"  (garbage)
"Knock knock, mom"  who's there? "eyeball in the car" .... I know - hilarious.
"Knock knock, mom"  who's therr?  "well....don't member."
"knock knock, mom"  who's there?....okay I'll spare you.
Are you a big boy, E? - "Almost"
"I not mister...I E.M.R."

I can't even begin to tell you how great he speaks, the vocabulary he has, nor how capable he is!

Some of his greatness:  Officially potty trained (a few months ago to be honest); can count (with fault) to 20 ish; likes to sing Wonderpets theme song (if you don't know it, spare yourself); absolutely LOVES to dance, and has pretty stinkin good rythm at that; can't get enough of his cars and trains and blocks; He is a monkey in general.

I know I am missing stuff, but it's not that important.  He is fantastic (despite throwing fits), loving (despite picking on small animals), and snuggly (despite only holding still for 3 minutes).  I absolutely ADORE him (despite that he won't stay little!).

Such a big little boy! And even if he does tend to recycle jokes, there is no denying he has a great sense of humor!

Stranger Danger

Ok. So, we've talked to M about strangers a bit, telling her to be safe and what not. A couple of times she brings it up when we say no she can't do something and she says "because there are stangers?" or some such. We haven't talked about it recently, but apparently the message stuck: We were at Wal-Mart, had just finised checking out and J went to use the restroom and M wanted to get a drink from the water fountain -I was still a few steps behind, so M said "Mom will you come a little bit closer?" and I said yes, and she continued "because you wouldn't want a stranger to grab me." I smiled and said "No I wouldn't like that." And she said "You would say 'oh no! someone has taken my child!" At which point I couldn't help but laugh and tell her how much I loved her.

Clearance Puppy

This has been a really crazy weekend. Thursday J got a call from a breeder he had been speaking to 3 or 4 months ago. We were going to go look at a puppy of his (with no real intention of buying) back then, but when we called the breeder said he just sold the last female 2 hours previously. Then on thursday he called to tell J that a buyer backed out last minute and J has first chance at getting her, so Friday we went to see her. She was discounted for us (and b/c she is older now, I think) and much more affordable - and so we brought her home, and her name is Sugar. Sug (shoog) for short. She is very sweet and calm, and listens really well. She is a yellow lab, and for all of you who have read the book or watched the movie - yes, we bought the "clearance puppy"! And actually we stopped at Blockbuster to return some movies and a big Marley & Me poster was in the window and M said :"Is that a picture of Sugar?" - I hope not! Saturday was the last 50 cen...

What a Day.

Last night there was a heck of a thunderstorm, booming and crackling away, which of course causes my dog to freak out. So I put her in a kennel (this one is smaller than her usual one because for one I thought she may feel safer in a more confined space, and for two I figured she couldn't tear it apart like the other one because it gave her less space to move.) and she was actually a little bit better in this kennel. well, at about 3:00 a.m. I Got up to tell her to be quiet, then at 5:30 a.m. I heard a huge crack of thunder that startled J and I awake but Prints was quiet. Suspicious, I went to check on her, and she seemed fine other than that she completely demolished her blanket and reaked of urine (she was so scared she peed.) Then in the morning at about 8:30 Justi and I went to go to the gym, but low and behold I had forgotten to roll up the windows in the view. The seats were soaked, and I mean SOAKED. So we took Justi's car and put a towel on M's car seat. Af...
