please, record my worst

It would seem to me that children are best at recording and REPEATING the worst of you. Why it can't be the good things you say and teach them is beyond me. As many of you may know, on Christmas Eve (rather technically it was Christmas morning - 1:30 am to be precise) we got stuck in a snow drift. This could be passed of as bad luck, but I feel compelled to point out that the reason we got stuck in said snow drift is because my dear hubby thinks nothing will ever go wrong for him -but it always seems to catch up with him. So, yes, we were running wrecklessly through snow drifts, and they got the better of us. I was angry ( it was definately an "I told you so momement") and apparently I voiced it, despite my desperate attempts to not say "I told you so", I must have expressed myself clearly in any case: We were shopping around Gander Mountain (a sports store) and we got E and M in one of those carts that has a car attached on the front so they could entertai

Birthday Tattoos!!

my tattoo - sea turtle J's tattoo - deer Justi's tattoo- dragonfly My birthday was lots of fun! First on the menu was tattoos!! So, just as my tattoo was finished and he asked how I liked it I said to him "I think I'm gonna pass out." And that is just what I did. And when I came to about 10 seconds later, I threw up. And then everything was fine! :) I'm pretty sure the main reason I threw up was because all I had eaten all day was 2 donuts, a snack bar and some crackers. That and I just got a tattoo. In any case it was lots of fun. J and Justi did fantastically and got their first tattoos! (this was my second) After that we went to dinner at Chili's and then J & I went and watched Avatar which was a really good movie. Then home for cake at midnight! And great presents!! All in all a great birthday!

ok

My phone is working now. WEll I can take phone calls anyway. My phone ended up being broken, but I am using my old one. (the one that J walked into the lake and ruined...yeah it still has issues, but it takes calls.) And tomorrow is my birthday. I love my birthday. It is a day all about me - I had to teach my husband that because his family apparently didn't do it that way. I could have sworn everyone had a day off on their birthday like we did at my house. LOVED IT! and now my hubby is catching the hang of it too! He is also quite taken with the idea himself for his birthday. I LOVE DECEMBER!

I'm not ignoring you

Just so you know, if you are trying to call me it won't work. My phone is broken and I can not get it to turn on. I will attempt to remedy that tonight - if it is free. If it costs me money , I'm sorry, it's not gonna happen. Not until after x-mas at least :). anyhow, my children are crying, I am grumpy, and there are things that need to be taken care of.

Ah, this was a good day - minus the broken dishwasher

So, finals are done. My best surprise was that in my business class she let everyone who had an A not have to take a final. And I was one of those. So, one final down, one free, and one to go, I took my Accounting final which was my biggest dread. I stayed up until 12:30 studying the night before, and the night before. I only missed 2! YAY! Finals done. Big breath and a smile on my face. That was Monday. The joy of being done and getting all A's is still with me , however. Yesterday J broke the dishwasher. Ok, not entirely his fault: the heating element was rusted pretty bad, and bent upward. I asked him if he could bend it back and it snapped when he tried. So, handwashing dishes not so fun. Today, I washed dishes (some of them - I'm really not a very motivated person when it comes to dishes....or housework in general). Then after whatever other little things I did this morning I got to come to Aunt N's and put the kiddos down for naps and sit in their suana

back to it

We are back from Minnesota, and we had lots of fun...the drive not so much, but it wasn't horrible. I love visiting my famiy, and I got to see everybody, even Emily made it over there. We didn't do much, but I think that is the way I like it - more face time more love. Now I'm at school and have to study for my finals - YUCK! needless to say I'm feeling slightly stressed. I'm fairly confident that I will do fine, but I stress none-the-less.
