"momma, potty!"

so, I have some adorable pictures, but not with me so it will have to be a later post...of M and our ducks. and of just M.... On the other hand, M has kinda sorta started potty training! Kinda sorta, because it's only been a couple of days that she's actually used it. We've had the potty chair in our bathroom for awhile and she's been using it as a stepping stool, and she's been sitting on it fully clothed pretty much every time I used the restroom. Well on monday M asked to go potty with her diaper off, so I took off her diaper, not expecting much, when, after she had sat down, she announced "yucky. pooping." and sure enough when she stood up, no it was not poop, but she did pee! She did it again later that night, three times yesterday, and twice today! I seriously thought it was just a fluke, but hey! She's still at it. She doesn't ask me yet when she needs to go, she just happens to be able to go at the same times I do. So, we still h

Oh boogers!

so, I don't have much time to blog, but I wanted to share my adventure for the day. It's a first for M and I. J and Justine have been sick the last couple of days, and today M was sounding kinda stuffy, which remined me that I needed to give her her nasal spray. Low and behold as I tried to squirt, it sounded funny! Any guesses? Yes, that's right, she had something shoved up her nose! (This is a new fixation for her the last couple days -- trying to put things in her nose) So, I get the tweezers (don't worry it wasn't that far in...I wasn't gonna hurt her) and pulled it out....it was insulation foam from the crack by our door that she had picked out and put up there. Just to be sure, I get a flashlight and look in, and there is more in there, but way to far up for me to get, or even think about putting in tweezers. So...I call the doctor and the doctor says...no more monkeys...okay, no. We went in to the doctor and she pulled out another wad of foamy
so, we got ducks! (well, ducklings) and they are adorable. We went for a walk with them and they followed right behind us! (yes, I know that's what ducks do, but I think it means they love me) :) And yes, I know they might die. And I know snapping turtles might eat their feet, and coyotes might eat them, and Tank and Dozer might snack on them too, J may eat their eggs if there are any, heck, he may eat them...but until that fateful day I am going to love them and adore them and protect them to the best of my ability....because they are adorable! Come on people, where's the optimism?? M loves them as well, and walks up to their box in the morning and hold out her hand to them and says..."hush. ducks." and turns and grins at me, because she loves them so much! She also says "kiss" and waits for me to pick one up for her to kiss. It's fun...and only a little messy.
I'm sitting at Jessica's house, babysitting, waiting for Jess and Patrick to come home and tell me what their new baby is going to be...or babies! :) I've got nothing personally exciting to share, so....later!

Ballpit play area warnings...

This is a forwarded e-mail I recieved, if you're interested: Body: McDonalds, Chuck E Cheese, Discovery Zone... All places with ballpits in the children's play area. One of my sons lost his watch, andwas very upset. We dug and dug in those balls, trying to find hisWatch. Instead, we found vomit, food, feces, and other stuff I do not wantto discuss.I went to the manager and raised hell. Come to find out, the ball pitis only cleaned out once a month. I have doubts that it is even donethat often. My kids will never play in another ball pit. Some of you might not be parents, but you may have nieces, nephews, grandchildren, or friends with children. This will pertain to you too. As I read the following, my heart sank.I urge each and every one of you to pass this on to as many people asyou can. I cannot stress how important this is! Hi. My name is Lauren Archer, my son Kevin and I lived in Midland , TN.On October 2nd, 1999 I took my only son to McDonald's for his 3rdbirthday. After

I'm back..

sorry it's been awhile. My vacation in Minnesota was great. It was fun seeing everyone. Now I'm home...I've had issue's with school that I'm rather upset about. I'm down to only 2 classes now - Speach and Math. I don't want to explain the story (it's frustrating and complicated). Funny story about M though. We were visiting Grandma Gauthier (not to be confused with Grandma Jo) and M kept getting into candy left over from easter. WE let her have a couple of pieces, but soon called it quits. After both of us telling her no a few times we were getting tired of the candy and so put it up. M found one more piece, which J took away saying "no more, we're going to eat dinner soon." He handed me the candy to get it out of sight and mind of M. I looked at it and it was sour lemon head. Thinking she would hate it and would give up on candy for the night, I told her "okay, M, one last piece, come here." She got all excited and
