I got a job! Office Assistant to cover a maternity leave, and then customer service - And it has SO much potential! I'm really excited. I had an interview this morning: yesterday I got a call that said to come anytime between 9am and 3pm tomorrow (which is now today) or Monday for a 10-15 minute interview. I decided to make a somewhat early appearance for good impression, and I was the second interview of the day. Bob (my new boss) interviewed me, and in less than 10 minutes was offering me the job. He was very flattering! He told me he knew he liked me 10 seconds after meeting me, and that they hire hearts, not skills or just people, but hearts and he thinks I have it! :::aw, gosh::: They had to turn away the next couple interviews, and were preparing to call all the other potentials to tell them the position is filled! I really like him, and quickly learned that I liked the other employees as well after a quick tour. Great pay, and great benefits - more than I was even hoping for.
It's a some-what small business, but a profitable and growing one. It is called Preferred Paper Products and is a company that does packaging: bubblewrap, tape, boxes, custom packaging, etc for businesses in northern Colorado. The people were awesome, family oriented...they have High Tea randomly (today was one of those days) where they all sit and have fancy cookies and drinks and chat (NOT about work!). I think I will fit in just fine.
