My babies were sick...well, Add J to that list too. But they are better now. Monday (last week) Educare told me that E had a fever of 99, but no other problems. Then Tuesday at nap ...his little cry was sad, and when I went to see what was wrong I discovered vomit. He was wearing a shirt and diaper to bed and his bare legs had throw up on them and his little knees were shaking because it was making him cold. He looked so pathetic. So I cleaned him up and changed the bedding and put him back, and an hour later we had a repeat, so I just kept him up and snuggled him. M slept through it all. Throughout the day he threw up a few more times, but did fine that night, however, M woke up a little after midnight throwing up. Her cry was also pathetic. So she and I stayed up, because I knew more was on its way. We layed on the couch and watched The Road to El Dorado, during which she threw up. Then we turned off the TV, and went to sleep on the couch. About every hour she threw up. (the good thing about M throwing up is that she has the control to do it in a bowl. She threw up, every once in a while until Friday. She wasn't eating anything and anything I could force her to eat she would throw up, so we stopped trying. She layed around ALL day, every day, doing nothing and looking terribly sad. So we visited the doctor, becuase my kids had never gone that long without food - he says keep fluids going in her and don't worry about her not eating...kids can go a long time without eating and be ok, but she needs fluid. ... Well, I know about the fluid thing, but was relieved to hear that her not having food was ok. Saturday, everything was fine and she was asking for chicken nuggets. Friday night, J was throwing up. Me? Somehow, miraculously, I managed to stay healthy and take care of my family. I'm not sure which I prefer - throwing up, or constantly cleaning up after everyone else throwing up? I like taking care of them - it feels good to me and good to them.
Other than that, I am done with this semester, all A's. This summer I have 2 classes, so that I can keep my kids in the Educare program and not lose their spots; then I have 2 more classes in Fall semester and I am done with my Accounting Assistant degree.
Then what? Well, moving I think - to Colorado somewhere. No definate plans yet, but we are trucking our family back to the mountains we fell in love with forever ago. We can't imagine a life that our kids don't know the mountains, when they are such a happy part of our lives. I am excited, and a little sad, but Colorado is a good middle between J's family and mine. We will see. Don't hold your breath, I am known for being indecisive.
I am ready for change. I am so bored! :)
