a little Sugar.

Clearance Puppy

This has been a really crazy weekend. Thursday J got a call from a breeder he had been speaking to 3 or 4 months ago. We were going to go look at a puppy of his (with no real intention of buying) back then, but when we called the breeder said he just sold the last female 2 hours previously. Then on thursday he called to tell J that a buyer backed out last minute and J has first chance at getting her, so Friday we went to see her. She was discounted for us (and b/c she is older now, I think) and much more affordable - and so we brought her home, and her name is Sugar. Sug (shoog) for short. She is very sweet and calm, and listens really well. She is a yellow lab, and for all of you who have read the book or watched the movie - yes, we bought the "clearance puppy"! And actually we stopped at Blockbuster to return some movies and a big Marley & Me poster was in the window and M said :"Is that a picture of Sugar?" - I hope not! Saturday was the last 50 cen...

movies

I would like to mention a few I liked: Slumdog Millionaire - this one has a good story, but J didn't like the way they made it. It's one of those movies that tell the story backward - beginning with (almost) the end. Yes Man- this is a funny one (of course). Bottle Shock - This one is funny and has a good story, but it takes a little long to play out. Still, I like it a lot! There were a few others, but now I can't remember them

my boys, and thier mohawks!

J let me cut his hair with a mohawk, but he only left it for about 2 hours...just long enough for pictures.

Median Shrine Circus

Here are some pictures from the circus on Saturday. M really didn't like how noisy it was and so covered her ears the whole time. She really liked the elephant ride, though. (with Jodi, Charlotte, and Jess.)

You know you're a mom...

I just wanted to contribute to the "you know you're a mom, when..." list: when you or someone says "Paprika" and you think of Mr. Pepper and Mrs. Salt's daughter. When empty Pampers boxes and wipe boxes are piling in the corner.
Again, not much time to blog. This is the injury Jaxon recieved while I was babysitting today. this is M. Just b/c I love her. This is J's new suburban. cost us a whoppin' $300. Perfect piece of junk for hunting.

Easter

no time to blog, but here are a couple photos

M loves her baby brother!

Monday was like any other monday. M woke up and yells "DAAAAAD!" and again "DaaaaAAAaaaD! I'm ready to get up! DAAAAD!" and after a little bit of nothing... "MOOOOM!....MOM!....MoooooOOOOOOoooooMMMM! I'm ready to get up." and so I go and get her out of bed, and we schlump sleepily into the kitchen to get some cereal for breakfast. This morning I did not have E with me, because he was sound asleep in my bed. M had to go to the bathroom, so I took her through my bedroom to my bathroom, and when we were done we went back out for breakfast. I was fairly certain she did not notice E. When I was pouring our cereal this is what proceeded: M: mom. where's my baby brother? me: I don't know. M (smiling at the game): No, where is E? me: I don't know, M. Maybe he is GONE! M: no. Where is that cute little guy with a mohawk? me: I got rid of him. M: no you didn't where is he? me: No, M, I got rid of him. I didn't want him anymore so I got rid...

family...

Megan and her girls made it here on Sunday afternoon. It has been a lot of fun being able to play with them, and most of our time has been spent at Aunt Nancy's house. With M, E, Cara, Gilli, Jodi, Charlotte, and Jackson it has been quite the carnival! Lots of yelling, crying, and arguing...but really, lots of fun! (and lots of crazy!) I am really glad we could all get together. Sadly, I think they plan to leave us tomorrow :( to start their journey home. I wish they lived oh so much closer!
