the car (the Vue) is officially 'totaled' and J and I are in search of a new vehicle. We start our search on saturday, hopefully. And, by the way, J and I went and watched "The Happening"....I would just like to mention that I did not like it. This is actually probably one of my least favorite movies. I was pretty willing to leave, not out of disgust or anything, but just cuz it was no good. some people may like it, but I for one did not. not at all. neither did J. so, yeah, I wouldn't suggest seeing it. Also, for all those of you who have migraines, I can sympathize. I've had a couple before, but they (apparently) weren't that bad. I learned what they are all about on Monday. It was enough pain that I couldn't see very well, I couldn't focus, or walk straight, it made me vomit, everything looked like looking through a really bright haze, and it hurt so bad it made me cry. That has NEVER happened before. It was aweful. Luckily for me my Aunt Nancy and Cousin Jessica came to my rescue. Nancy came and picked up M for me and brought me pain killers, and then Jessica babysat the rest of the evening and Nancy returned her at the end of the day. I don't know what I would have done without them, because I couldn't move or think straight...and I still don't think this was as bad as some people get. I'm just praying it won't happen again. Thank you Nancy and Jessica. (and Josh, i think he helped too.)
Ok. So, we've talked to M about strangers a bit, telling her to be safe and what not. A couple of times she brings it up when we say no she can't do something and she says "because there are stangers?" or some such. We haven't talked about it recently, but apparently the message stuck: We were at Wal-Mart, had just finised checking out and J went to use the restroom and M wanted to get a drink from the water fountain -I was still a few steps behind, so M said "Mom will you come a little bit closer?" and I said yes, and she continued "because you wouldn't want a stranger to grab me." I smiled and said "No I wouldn't like that." And she said "You would say 'oh no! someone has taken my child!" At which point I couldn't help but laugh and tell her how much I loved her.
