there is a good chance that I might start blogging more. I have to get on the internet at least 3 times a week. Why, you might ask. BECAAUUSE....I had to switch 3 of my 4 classes to online classes and they require that I log on 3 times a week (more is better, they say) in order to get a good grade. I couldn't find any daycare that I could afford, so it was that or drop out...this seemed to be the better option. Now I babysit for cousin Jessica on tuesday and wednesday mornings so that she didn't have to drop out either - her schedule was not flexible like mine. I found out her schedule was more given to her than chosen by her. There was only that time to take the class, or not take it at all. I think it's a nursing program...and later she has to do clinicals in a hospital. EARLY MORNINGS! poor girl...I have to be here by 7:30, and that's with Patrick staying home late so I don't have to come sooner. THANKS to Patrick! Yay! And the benefit to me babysitting at Jessica's house? I can use her internet and her computer! which means I can blog more often...so long as i'm not working on my school work! :)

oh, by the way....a couple other things M says that I think are adorable: Oh No! , Oh my!...and best of all, Oh Man! (it's adorable!)

Stranger Danger

Ok. So, we've talked to M about strangers a bit, telling her to be safe and what not. A couple of times she brings it up when we say no she can't do something and she says "because there are stangers?" or some such. We haven't talked about it recently, but apparently the message stuck: We were at Wal-Mart, had just finised checking out and J went to use the restroom and M wanted to get a drink from the water fountain -I was still a few steps behind, so M said "Mom will you come a little bit closer?" and I said yes, and she continued "because you wouldn't want a stranger to grab me." I smiled and said "No I wouldn't like that." And she said "You would say 'oh no! someone has taken my child!" At which point I couldn't help but laugh and tell her how much I loved her.

Caught Bare Bottomed.

Yesterday I went to retrieve my kids from playing in the backyard with the neighbors....When I round the corner I behold my 5 year old daughter with her shorts baring her bottom to the 6 year old neighbor boy. Me:  M!  E!  It is time to go home. now! M:  E did it too! (while sheepishly pulling her shorts back up and E snaps his head around to look at me with big eyes and "O" mouth) WHY?

Veggie Tales

so, because i'm lazy and am terrible at getting up in the mornings M and my morning routine is not the best, but it works for us. I get up when I hear her yell "mooom. daaaad. mooom. blah blah goober gibber." I get her out of bed, and still sleeping I go to the kitchen grab cereal or left over pancakes, or multi-grain bar for breakfast, put M in her highchair or more often just on the floor with a bowl and instantly she says "tales" and I turn on the one of our veggie tales movies and lay on the couch until my brain is working. well...just the other day it was the same routine, but when the movie ended I watched M disappear around the back of the couch and in a few seconds I see her hand reach up and grab the remote of the back of the couch, walks back around, hands me the remote and says "tales" and looks expextantly at the t.v. It was soooo funny and adorable. sometimes lately she comes up to me and says "remote?" and then "I dunn...
