You really know you're pregnant when...

Yesterday I helped M use the bathroom, and when I finished pulling up her pull-up and pants, she looked at my chest (which is now eye-level for her) puts a hand under each...ahem...and says: Momma have big tummy! I point at my stomache and say: yes, baby, momma has a big tummy, but it's down here. M: Yeah. (places her hands on my belly) Momma BIG tummy! It GROWING !! Me: Yes, baby, momma's tummy is growing.

My two-year old...

M is acting like a two-year old the last few days...and I admit, it is driving me a little crazy. It's a good thing she's so stinkin' cute!! She is constantly doing a yes/no argument. M: I want chicken; K: okay, we can have chicken. M: No! no, chicken; K: okay, not chicken, what do you want then?; M: I want chicken.....eventually I stop and feed her whatever and she is throwing a fit whichever way I go. At dinner the other night we said a prayer, but M didn't want to participate so J and I stopped trying to get her to join and said a prayer anyway. This made M mad, and for about, oh, 10 minutes kept crying that she wanted to say a prayer. We would say, 'okay, M, we'll say one more prayer with you.' she would turn away and say, 'no prayer!' We gave up on this one too, but she wouldn't stop yelling and crying, so she got a time-out. Which didn't stop her from yelling and crying. In any case, it was a long dinner. And there are a lot ...
Make a Smilebox slideshow Here are the pictures I promised. We got pumpkins from the pumpkin patch and carved them last night. We played at the pumpkin patch, got to jump on a giant plastic air filled pillow thing, played in a sand box filled with corn (j got burried), and M had loads of fun riding the train. There are also a few pics of our trip to Minnesota. I hope you enjoy them.

sorry for taking to long...

My trip to Minnesota was a success. Sam and I had a lot of fun, and the drive there didn't actually seem too long. M did great! I can't believe how wonderful she is sometimes. She didn't whine pretty much the whole trip there, and entertained herself with books and what-not for the first part of the trip. The last few hours she watched sleeping beauty. It was a lot of fun seeing Grandma Jo, aunt Erin and aunt Megan. M had loads of fun with her cousins Cara and Gilli too! We went to the zoo, the water park of america, and the mall of america. Thank you to my family for having us and keeping us fed. I had so much fun seeing you. And I will bring my husband and see you again at Thanksgiving! Yay! I have pics but I forgot to bring them with me. This weekend we went to a pumpkin patch which I also have cute pics for, so I will try to post them on Wednesday.

Big girl bed

We finally got my phone switched over...Thanks to ERIN! She called the people and got everything taken care of for me. And Thanks to Aunt Nancy for the phone (it's her old one). I get lucky with hand-me-downs!! Also, Saturday was M's first day in her "big-girl bed". We finally bought a rail for the bed so she won't fall out, and on Saturday she got to sleep in it. She was really excited and did excellent! she went right to sleep. Unforturnately nap-time on Sunday did not go so well. Probably mostly because naptime doesn't go that well in general. She wouldn't stay in bed, and kept yelling to get up. After about an hour, probably, I went in and gave her a book to keep her in bed, thinking she was tired enough to fall asleep with it. I should have known better - my baby loves books. So, after 30 minutes of quiet, I went to check on her and she was still awake and reading her book. I told her we would finish is and she had to go to sleep - she sa...
These are our pictures from camping! M had tons of fun...most of the time she was filthy...of course, so were we. This might be the picture of when J took our phone fishing with him. Yes, that ruined our phone...mostly. And he didn't notice that M had taken off her diaper until I was taking pictures of them fishing. We had lots of fun, beautiful sunsets, and many bugs...but it was great. we had smores of course, which M had a good time eating...hers is lacking chocolate, purely so I didn't have to clean it up. Don't worry, I shared some of mine with her. We ate tin-foil dinners, and hot dog dinner; J made pancakes and eggs for breakfast one morning...I've never had that good of a breakfast camping before. The second morning we just had poptarts...but they were good too!

Labor Day Weekend

We finally got the opportunity to go camping! We've been wanting to for a while, but weren't actually capable of pulling it off...until this weekend. We went to Woodson Lake (I think) out by Toronto. It was a nice lake, and was not nearly as busy as I'm sure El Dorado Lake was. This was M's first time camping and she seemed to have a blast. She really enjoyed fishing with dad (I have cute pics I will share when I can) and swimming. J finally got to see M swimming...He hasn't seen her swim on her own with her floaties, so it was exciting. She was also keeping busy catching bugs...and incidently squishing them...as well as playing with the worms dad fished with. The first night was rough at bed time. I had to go lay down with her in the tent, but she was still too wound up to sleep. She crawled all over me, rolled all over the bed, and continued playing well into the night after J came to bed. And then all through the night, even though she was asleep, she ...
