I still have a horrible memory of Mom cutting my hair and taking me out into the apartment stairwell to sweep the hair off me and the little boy from upstairs coming down and saying "Oh look at the little boy getting his haircut."
I, too, am too traumatized to cut my children's hair after all the home "styles" we got as kids. I don't think they were really as bad as I remember...well, except for that one perm maybe.
